Hearing Aid Compatible: Hearing aid t-coil compatible or use the optional under-the-chin headset which provides hands-free operation and improves sound quality and perceived loudness by blocking out background noise. The headset is very comfortable, easy to use, and works with cordless and cellular telephones with a 2.5 mm jack.
900 MHz technology significantly improves the clarity of the signal compared to older 46/49 MHz technology.
900 MHz PROVIDES EXTENDED RANGE
HITEC uses the state-of-the-art VTech 900 MHz Cordless Telephones. They are designed to perform at the maximum distance possible, given the transmission power guidelines established by the FCC. This means your Handset and Base Unit can communicate over an extended distance.
NOTE:Transmission distance will depend on the location of the Base unit and Handset, weather, and the construction and layout of your home or office.
Most conventional cordless telephones on the market were designed to work in the crowded 46/49 MHz frequency band, all competing for limited resources which are shared with low-band pagers, radio remote controls, two-way walkie-talkies and "baby monitors".
Based on extensive feedback from customers, we have established that our 900 MHz Cordless Telephones regularly perform at distances ranging from 2 to 5 times the conventional cordless range, which equates to 200 to 2,000 feet, depending on the operating environment.
